Team of Functional Genomics for Crop Efficient Photosynthesis

研究目標:利用水稻等C3植物、玉米等C4植物突變體、中間材料及核心種質,研究C4植物葉片解剖學結構形成機制與生化途徑進化機理,克隆高光效基因;利用合成生物學、基因組編輯等技術,設計、優化和重構光合作用回路,提高光合作用效率;研究植物無融合生殖分子機理,創制無融合生殖牧草材料,提高無性生殖的結實率。
Research Objectives: Using mutants, intermediate and core germplasm collections of C3 and C4 plants, studying molecular mechanisms of C4 leaf anatomy, molecular evolution mechanisms of C4 anatomy and biochemical pathways, and cloning photosynthesis efficient genes. Designing, optimizing and reconstructing photosynthetic pathways using synthetic biology and gene editing technologies. Studying molecular mechanism of apomixes, producing apomictic plant materials and improving parthenogenesis efficiency of alfalfa.
