Team of Crop Metabolic Regulation and Biofortification

研究目標：以水稻、玉米、番茄等主要農作物為對象，針對與人體營養相關的微量營養素及健康功能因子建立代謝組學研究方法和技術體系，探索代謝途徑關鍵節點，挖掘代謝調控關鍵基因，開發功能性分子標記，探索不同環境條件對代謝物積累的影響，為營養強化作物分子設計育種和標準化產品研發提供技術支撐。
Research Objectives: Establishment of omics-based methodology for characterization of micronutrients and health-promoting factors; identification of rate-limiting steps in metabolic pathways and investigation of regulatory mechanisms, target genes and the effects of environmental cues of metabolites’ synthesis and accumulation; development of functional molecular markers and providing theoretical and technical supports for molecular breeding of biofortified crops such as rice, maize and tomato.
